Quick answer

Attendance adapts to how your company works. In Attendance settings (admins) you choose the working days, standard hours, the late-grace window, the overtime threshold, and whether check-in needs a selfie or location. Team attendance (managers and admins) shows today's roster, the approvals queue, and a monthly report you can export to CSV — and that report is exactly what payroll reads for loss-of-pay.

Configure the rules (admins)

Open Attendance → Settings:

  • Working days — the days that count; everything else is a weekly off.
  • Hours & timing — standard start/end, late grace, and how many hours make a full or half day.
  • Overtime after — worked hours beyond this count as overtime.
  • Check-in requirements — optionally require a selfie and/or location. Add an office latitude/longitude + radius to enforce a geofence.
  • Sync — keep "Count approved leave" and "Count company holidays" on so those days are never scored as absent.

Track the team (managers & admins)

Open Attendance → Team attendance:

  1. Today

See who's present, on the clock, on leave or not marked — step through any day.
  2. Approvals

Approve or decline attendance-fix requests from your team.
  3. Month

A per-person summary with present/half/absent/leave, overtime and LOP. Export to CSV.

The payroll connection

The LOP column = absent days + ½ × half days. Payroll reads this figure when you run a pay cycle, so attendance and pay stay in step without any manual re-entry.

Frequently asked questions

How does attendance feed payroll?
The monthly report gives each employee a loss-of-pay (LOP) figure = absent days + half of every half day. When you run a pay cycle, payroll reads this same figure. Nothing is double-counted with leave, because approved leave never shows as absent.
Can I require a selfie or GPS at check-in?
Yes. In Attendance settings, turn on "Require a selfie" and/or "Require location". Add an office latitude, longitude and radius to only allow check-ins from inside that area — leave the radius blank to record location without blocking anyone.
Who approves attendance fixes?
The employee's manager, or any admin. Pending requests appear on the Approvals tab of Team attendance.
