Quick answer

On the Feedback page click Ask for feedback, choose a colleague, say what you want feedback on, and send. The person answers once — a rating from 1 to 5 and a written note — and the answer is visible to you and your manager. If an appraisal cycle is open you can link the request to it.

How do I send a request?

  1. Open Feedback

Click "Ask for feedback" at the top of the page.
  2. Choose a colleague and a topic

Pick the person, write what you want feedback on (a project, a meeting, a habit), and add any context.
  3. Send

They are notified and the request shows under "I asked" with the status "Awaiting answer".

What happens when they answer?

You get a notification, and the request page shows the rating and the note. An answer cannot be edited after it is sent, so what you read is what they wrote.

Can I cancel a request?

While it is still waiting, yes — open the request and click Cancel request. Once it has been answered or declined it stays as it is.

Frequently asked questions

Can I ask anyone?
Anyone in your organisation except yourself. The request goes to them as a notification and shows on their Feedback page under "Asked of me".
Can they refuse?
Yes. The person asked can decline, and you see the request marked "Declined". You can also cancel a request you sent while it is still waiting.
What does linking to a review cycle do?
If an appraisal cycle is open when you ask, you can tick "Link to the open review cycle" so the answer is recorded against that cycle. It does not change the review form itself.
