Quick answer

Open the Admin console and find the Audit log. It records important admin actions — role changes, leave adjustments, salary edits, onboarding approvals, and setting changes — each stamped with who did it and when. Entries cannot be edited or deleted, so it is a trustworthy history.

What does the audit log record?

It captures the actions that matter for accountability. Every entry shows the action, the person who did it, and the exact time.

  • A role being changed.
  • A leave balance being adjusted.
  • A salary being edited.
  • An onboarding submission being approved.
  • A setting being changed.

Everyday actions like viewing a page are not logged. The focus is on changes that affect people or data.

How do I read an entry?

Each line tells you three things: who, what, and when.

2026-08-01 10:42 — Meera Nair changed Rahul Mehta's role
                    from Employee to Manager

2026-07-30 16:15 — Meera Nair adjusted Anita Rao's annual
leave balance from 12 to 14 days

Read it left to right: the time, the person who acted, and the change they made.

Why does the audit log matter?

Two big reasons: accountability and compliance.

  • Accountability — if something looks wrong, you can see exactly who made the change and when, so there is no guessing.
  • Compliance — auditors and HR policies often require a clear trail of sensitive changes. The log gives you that automatically.

Can entries be changed or removed?

No. Once an action is recorded, the entry is permanent. Nobody can edit or delete it, not even a Super Admin.

That is the point. A record you could quietly change would be worthless. Because it is locked, you can trust it completely.

Is my log private to my company?

Yes. The audit log is scoped to your org only. You see your company's actions and nothing else, and no other company can see yours.
