Quick answer
Open the admin leave console at /time-off/admin. From there you can approve or reject any request regardless of the manager, adjust an employee's balance up or down, cancel approved leave and return the days, and apply leave on someone's behalf. Every action is logged automatically.
What can I do in the admin leave console?
- Approve or reject any request — even if the person's manager has not acted.
- Adjust a balance — credit days (for example, grant a comp-off) or debit days to fix a mistake.
- Cancel approved leave — the days are returned to the employee's balance.
- Apply leave on someone's behalf — useful when an employee cannot access the system.
How do I make an adjustment?
Open the admin console
Go to Time Off → Admin at/time-off/admin.Find the person
Search for the employee, then open their request or balance card.Choose the action
Approve, reject, adjust the balance, cancel leave, or apply leave for them.Add a reason and save
Write a short reason so the change is clear, then save.
What does a balance adjustment look like?
Here is an example of granting a comp-off:
Employee: Priya Sharma
Action: Credit balance
Leave type: EL
Amount: +1 day
Reason: Worked on public holiday (15 Aug)
Result: Available EL goes from 8 -> 9 days
Is every change tracked?
Yes. Every override, cancellation, and balance adjustment is written to the audit log with your name, the date and time, and the reason you entered. This keeps changes transparent and easy to review later.
A gentle word of caution
Adjustments change real balances that affect pay and time off. Double-check the employee, the leave type, and the amount before you save. When in doubt, add a detailed reason so anyone reading the log later understands why.
