Quick answer

Recognition collects every kudos your team gives — from the Recognition page, the company feed or Slack — into one dashboard. Give recognition directly from the Recognition page with Give recognition: pick colleagues, optionally tag a company value, and send. Your own Received and Given tabs show your history, with a badge summary of the values you're recognised for.

How do I give recognition?

Click Give recognition at the top of the Recognition page (kudos given from the company Feed, or with /ashr kudos @colleague why they deserve it in Slack, land in the same place). In Slack the person you are recognising needs to have linked their ASHR account with /ashr connect — otherwise the command says so rather than guessing who you meant. Choose one or more colleagues, optionally tag a company value badge, and write a short message. It posts to the feed for everyone to see, and each recipient gets a notification. You can't recognise yourself — it's for colleagues.

  1. Open Recognition

Click "Give recognition" at the top of the page.
  2. Choose people & a value

Pick who you're recognising and, if you like, the value it reflects.
  3. Send

Your recognition appears in the feed, notifies the recipients, and updates the dashboard.

What do the Received and Given tabs show?

Your recognition sits at the top of the page: the Received tab lists every recognition you've been given, and the Given tab lists the ones you've sent. Above the tabs, a badge summary counts the company values you've been recognised for. You can remove a recognition you gave (and HR admins can remove any) — it disappears from the feed and dashboard for everyone.

What does the Recognition dashboard show?

The Recognition page (in the sidebar under Performance & Growth) shows four simple counters — kudos this month, people recognised, active givers, and all-time kudos — plus a recent recognition feed, the most-recognised people this month, and a by company value breakdown so you can see what your culture celebrates.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I give recognition from?
From the Recognition page itself ("Give recognition"), from the company feed ("Give kudos"), and — once the Slack app is connected — with `/ashr kudos @colleague why`. All three land in the same place.
Can I remove a recognition I posted by mistake?
Yes — you can remove any recognition you gave, and an HR admin can remove any recognition. It disappears from the feed and the dashboard for everyone.
Who can see the Recognition dashboard?
Everyone in your company can open Recognition to celebrate wins. It shows recent kudos, the most-recognised people this month, and a breakdown by company value.
